We came across this unusual Enameled Sterling Silver Fish Brooch
in a bunch of costume jewelry.
What stood out about this fish is the complete colored enameling.
I thought it was one of those local craftsman fimo clay pieces.
The brooch looked more like a plastic clay form than a
sterling silver with enameling fish jewelry piece.

Some information on the Sculptor;
Oskar J. W. Hansen (1892 – 1971)[2] was a Norwegian-born naturalized American sculptor who received a number of official commissions in the US. Numerous examples of his sculpture in Art Deco mode commissioned by the US Bureau of Reclamation, executed under the Los Angeles-based architect Gordon B. Kaufmann, supervising architect to the Bureau, may be seen at Hoover Dam.[3]
His sculpture Wings is installed in the lobby of the Rand Tower, Minneapolis, completed in 1929.
Hansen’ statue of Liberty installed in 1957 atop a column replaced one that had been struck by lightning in 1942 at the Yorktown, Virginia, Victory Monument, commemorating the 1781 victory at Yorktown and the alliance with France that brought about the end of the American Revolution and the resulting peace with England.[4]
Other Art Work Pieces: “The Stallion’s Head” from a piece of turquoise which is now in the Smithsonian Gem Collection.
